Safe Horizon | CGF Victim Support Program
The Carey Gabay Foundation has partnered with Safe Horizon to provide victim assistance to those affected by gun violence, domestic violence, and homicide. We aspire to enable those impacted by trauma to move from crisis to confidence, to foster a transition towards safety and healing, and to advocate for justice. Our support will include but not be limited to referrals to partner agencies that provide non-judgment social information and access to both short and long-term resources that are tailored to the individual needs of affected victims and survivors.

NYCHA Emergency Transfers (Intimidated Victims & Traumatic Incident Transfers).
Information on legal rights and protections for crime victims.
Pre and post-case safety assessment and planning.
Individual and group counseling.
Family law consultation, legal representation, and personal advocacy (custody, orders of protection, visitation, etc).
Explanations on the civil legal (non-criminal) system.
Information on NYC Domestic Violence Shelters.
Assistance with Impact Statements.
Assistance with New York State Office of Victim Services compensation applications.
